I was a pessimism person, in fact, I should use is. But I am trying my
best to chang.
I am not a lucky guy. Life always plays jokes on me. When I was early
youth,I was full of ambition. But life changing makes me like a stupid
clown. From middle school, I lost my confidence, passion, of course
include optimism. I started to be afraid of everything. Whenever I fall
in trouble, the worst scene will be firstly found by me. And then, I
will be under cloud for a long time. It seem that there are a lot of
rain in my life ... ...
"A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees
the opportunity in every difficulty." I know this for a long time, but I
cannot agree with it completely. I am a pessimist and I also can see
opportunity in difficulty. The problem is I am afraid. Abusolutely I know
after the difficulty there are more opportunities, but I just feel fear
that I cannot go out from the troubles.
I believe that problems make me strong. Even though I am still around by
bad luck, I can face them bravely now. I think that is progresses. The
time that I feel helpless is getting less, and I begin to know how to
cover myself.
I am not the little chicken any more ... ...

Of course, you are neither stupid nor timid. You're brave because you left your country and came to the U.S. to seek your dream. I believe you will be very confident soon. Anyway, you really like Shin Hae-sung.
That's an interesting point you bring up, Elaine. Perhaps pessimists are just afraid to take the chances that optimists aren't afraid to take.
Sometimes lucky,sometimes unlucky.
